- Gir Tygrin,  I owe you a meal sometime.  You chairmanned the most epic first year convention of all time, and it was in Michigan to top it all off.  Michigan went far to long without its own furry convention, and you deserve a lot of credit for seeing that it got one.
    -2, thanks for all the work that you put into the convention making sure that everything ran smoothly and on time.  Many thanks as well for giving me such an entertaining entrance and exit at the variety show.  Any stage fright I might have had before going on was lost completely during the jokes about porn and green balls.  Your comedy has entertained me very much over the years, and it is wonderful to have finally had the chance to meet you.  I also owe you a meal if the chance ever arises for me to buy you one.
    -Syberfox & Keeya, for letting me stay in their room and putting up with me dragging so many other fursuiters in and out of the room at ungodly hours of the morning.
    -Garr, thank you for sharing your stories and being an all around fun person to hang out and converse with.
    -Latin Vixen and Adam, you are my fursuit building heroes and to be able to meet you both in person was an honor.  Thank you for the advice you gave me, and for lending me the needle to fix my fursuit.  Like I said before, if either of you are at a convention and need anything just let me know.
     -Mary, I love the badge.  It is exactly what I wanted, and a huge number of furs stopped me to ask who drew it throughout the course of the convention.  I sent them your way.
    -Tod Wills, thank you ever so much for taking my badge commission so late on Sunday even though you where so backlogged already, and double thanks for going out of your way to make sure I received the badge.  Your artwork is truly wonderful to behold.  I especially love the expression on my character's face and the way you depicted the motion of his poi.
    -Otterly Amazing, I love the otter tail I bought from you.
    -Cyan & Kohaku, you are the best friends ever. *snuggles*
    -Jaeger Fuchs, everything I bought from you has been wonderful, and I can't wait for the chest harness to arrive.
    -Skan & the DJ's, lasers are win, but lasers with music are epic win.  You guys all rock for keeping the party going till the early hours of the morning each dance and for turning the first year con dances into raves.
    -Whitney, Ivan & the hotel staff, you all did a marvelous  job and where very patient with putting up with the 370 something furs who invaded your hotel for the weekend.

I also want to thank all of my fellow Michigan furs and the volunteers  who helped to make this convention possible.

God, I don't even know where to start with this.  I am still, almost three days after the closing ceremonies, entirely blown away by how epic FCN ended up being.

I got to the convention around 11:00am on the Thursday and initially was shocked by the hotel's exterior.  I have stayed in my fair share of hotels, and while I harbor no ill will towards the best western chain, I generally stereotype them as being shabby hotels for use when you have an all night flight delay.   Looking at the  hotel from the street I thought I was right in my assumption, but once I entered I wanted to put my paw in my muzzle just for thinking the place was going to be a dive.   The convention space, from the theater, to the atrium, to the main room, was all functional and at the same time ascetically pleasing for age of the hotel.  My day Thursday consisted mostly of helping to get things set up for Friday.  After that I walked around the hotel for a short time in fursuit to get  a feel for the steps, layout and potential hazards of the building.

The rest of the convention was a blur of fursuiting.  I volunteered myself up for the, "So This is Your First Convention" panel, and I spun poi at the Variety Show.  I also was in the parade, around the dances some, my team destroyed the competition at the Fursuit Olympics, and I wandered around collecting hugs and posing for pictures.

If anyone has pictures or video of me in fursuit please send me a copy or link to them so I can have a look too.
